I think Vegeta was as tall as Freeza's last form. I had the impression, ever since recently actually, that Freeza increased in size after going 100% but it seems he only buffed up and remained the same size. Weird.
AT did seem to draw Vegeta taller looking as the story progressed. He seemed reeeeally short in the Saiyans saga. I think the fact he was next to Nappa amplified the feeling, but just looking at his legs, seems like a really short person. In the Boo arc he appears to have longer limbs for sure. His official height is 164cm though... Which is short... I'd say his debut self looks like 158cm or so while his Boo arc self looks more like 172cm. Goku isn't tall either, he's 175cm.
Funny that Piccolo Junior was kinda short in the 23rd Budokai, since when drawing the numbers he was shorter than the Budokai narrator, who himself was shorter than Boo saga Goku... So Piccolo Junior in the 23rd Budokai was what, 166 cm maybe? While Goku was like 160cm? It seems even though Goku grew considerably in the 23rd Budokai, the anime portrayed him taller. He looks really short in the manga when next to Ten. Ten is almost 190cm iirc, but Goku was like reaching Ten's upper abdomen region iirc... That's pretty short. His growth seemed more visible post training with Kaio-sama I'd say.
Piccolo also didn't seem to grow considerably until after the 1 year training for the Saiyans. Vs Raditz, his height didn't seem THAT different from his 23rd self. Vs the Saiyans he was already very tall and in the Freeza onwards he was already hugely tall, I think 230cm officially or so. Damn... Just looking at a penal if Goku next to him in the future Trunks' debut sagam he dwarfed Goku, precisely the moment he was telling Goku what Trunks told Goku should be shared for everyone.
Freeza wanted to become taller in the Broly movie, right? Like 5cm taller to seem like he was getting taller. Hahaha who'd imagine that canonically the evil emperor of the Universe would one day want the DBs to be 5cm taller.... Imagine Freeza gathering the DB in Namek and last time wishing to be 5cm taller lol. I don't even think this is bad writing or anything but it's just so funny that shows to me how much DBS shifted its focus... Seems more like Toriyama went the route of early arcs of part 1 for lots of things. I wonder if staying in his 2nd state is too uncomfortable to Freeza as that statement would be as imponent as it can get. I always thought that design wise 1st form Freeza Wass the most original though. Always loved his 1st (weakest state) design, really.
Anyway, not necessarily a question, just some random thoughts about height in DB. Feel free to share some cool informations about heights changes from an artistic perception or anything about it as I really like to pay attention to the clean art st
