I actually think 17 can take this. He's way higher that SSJ3 Goku and he doesn't have stamina drain. I think he has a good chance as the underdog.

From the overall scale of Beerus in general, I'd say even such a heavily supressed version should be capable of wrecking #17.

It seemed pretty even aside from the stamina (as usual). Vegeta was struggling and agitated while 17 remained cool. Then the other showed up and they fused. So the fight never really got to finish.

Well I have no recollection of that, so I'll trust you. 17 likely remained cool because of infinite energy as you stated, so we'll assume equal. That would make Hellfighter 17 = to SBV1. That's likely enough power to beat suppressed Beerus.

Yeah just from a quick google search it looks like Vegeta is base. Which makes no sense since he complained the whole time about how strong 17 got. They probably wanted to save SSJ for the big fight, but still.

Though I don't see a reason to have suppressed Beers so high. Goku's statement about fusion not working was based on his estimation of Beers' full power, not the power he used against Goku. Suppressed Beers' best feat is finger flicking SS3 Goku, which I'm sure Base Vegeta by the S17 arc could do.

That's rather debatable. In the episode preview leading up to Enraged Vegeta VS Beerus, Goku says that he may finally get to see Beerus' full power, which if taking into account, should mean that Enraged Vegeta ought to be on a similar tier to Goku's estimations of Beerus anyway.

What does enraged Vegeta have to do with this? Goku knew Beers hadn't used his full power against him, so his prediction off fusion not working against Beers doesn't necessitate suppressed Beers being stronger than SS3 Vegetto, that's all I'm saying.
