Good match.

Hildegarn is at the very least well ahead of Gohan Boo, but I would think Trunks is as well by S17. I'll give this to Trunks for no reason but bias.

Not really, it just seems low by GT standards.

I allow Trunks like a 15 - 20% boost after the Baby Saga, letting him keep a portion of the power up. It slips him past Gohan Boo level in my book. Not a whole lot but some. Also, if Goku had those huge gains rolling into M2, I think Trunks and Pan should at least get a small piece of that action. Not as much as Goku of course, but some increase.

I just remembered Trunks being able to resist Baby and Rild not being able to do so, so I reconsider my stance. Trunks would win.

Ah, that argument. It has been a long time since I've seen it.

How do we know that Rild would even resist Baby at all?

I dunno. I don't think Rild would have a reason to let Baby posses himself and let Baby take all of his energy and kill him in the process.

I'd have to re-watch the saga to really debate it, but wasn't Mu already dead when Baby possessed Rild? Unless you're saying Mu ordered Rild in advanced.

I'd have to see it as well, but perhaps it was just a part of the master plan.

It's not bad logic. Neither Gohan or Vegeta were able to resist baby. The implications might point towards a weakened version of Baby who possessed Trunks, but even that incarnation might rival Gohan Boo, based off initial reactions to his ki.

So it's no small feat in and of itself.

GT Trunks is overrated IMO, he wins.
