How about ignoring Fat Buu's power being split?

I mean, in the end, it felt like AT had either forgotten it or wanted to retcon it, both by the fatso's performance
and Vegeta worrying he could produce another Evil Buu. So, shall we retain Fat Buu at the same level for the
whole saga?

The former point isn't substantial when Pure Boo didn't seem to be taking things with complete seriousness, coupled by Good Boo knowing his inferiority pretty quickly. The latter point means little as Vegeta was worrying about hypotheticals, completely unaware at the history and mechanics of Boo's body.

There's no need to retcon or ignore anything here.

Hell, look at how Piccolo thought that once he blew up Goku's body not even Shenlon would be able to bring him back. Yet we see cityloads of people being brought back after suffering a very similar fate. Vegeta did nothing to establish facts there.
