What is the maximum gap needed for a weaker fighter to take down a stronger one with the assistance of someone? And, how strong do the two need to be compared to each other to take down their stronger opponent? Do the two need to be rivals or can fighter leagues weaker than the other still provide assistance against their stronger opponent?
Notable examples of 2 vs 1 or "team" battles:
- Freeza stated that Base Zarbon and Dodoria would defeat Vegeta if the fought together despite Vegeta being significantly stronger than either of them.
- Vegeta claimed that him, Gohan and Krillin would defeat Freeza (who was at 530k) and knew that Freeza could transform so he was expecting an even higher power level, while he stated Goku would be of no use until he got his Zenkai and Vegeta knew that Goku could multiply his power level all the way up to 4-times it's original thanks to Kaioken. Goku was at 90,000 so KKX4 Goku would be at 360k.
- Whis stated that SSJG Goku and Vegeta could defeat Golden Freeza if they fought together. Although I wouldn't put this gap all that much as we saw Goku was holding his own against Freeza, Freeza merely had the upperhand similar to how their fight on Namek went but vice versa with Goku having the upperhand.
- Goku and Piccolo were stomped against Raditz, although this is justified as Raditz was many times stronger than them. Even their combined power level was lower than his.
