How do you take the statements when it just said "Super Saiyan"?

From the Buu Saga and above, how are your takes on this? Do you believe it refers to SSJ in general terms or just the simple SSJ we all know?

For example:

In the Buu Saga, Old Kaioshin talk about the stress SSJ produces to the body, and Goku asked if it's not better to transform into SSJ.

Shin said that Gohan becoming into SSJ would make him much stronger after the Z Sword Training despite of Gohan having a greater transformation.

In the Goku Black Saga, SSJ2 Goku is commonly called "Super Saiyan Goku".

Whis said that SSG is faster than SSJ.

I doubt Shin knew the difference between SSJ1 and SSJ2.

SSJ2 is still a SSJ. Same for SSJ3. They all have SSJ in the name.

Pretty much. 3 is just a branch of 2 which is a branch of 1.
