For me I started with Uzumaki when Kendo recommended it. I moved on to Tomie, and since then I've read:

- Gyo.
- No Longer Human.
- Remina.
- Shiver.
- Fragments of Horror.
- Venus in the Blind Spot.
- Cat Diary.
- Dissolving Classroom.

Might be missing something. Reading Lovesickness right now and it's pretty good. I have Smashed as well that I did to read. After that, I think I need to read Frankenstein and I've read all of his translated work.

Uzumaki and a few pages of the cat diary. I started searching the www about removing kittens from their family and then never went back.
If you liked Gyo you'll like HxH.

Uzumaki, Gyo, Tomie, Fragments of Horror and some short stories of his here and there. I don't have enough time on my hands to catch up on No Longer Human or Cats Diary.

Read them a long time ago, stopped because his long form stories were too funny. 10/10 would read again.

His short term stuff is pretty unnerving though. Especially the story with the guy who needed to sleep forever.

Longest continuous story and by page count is probably No Longer Human. Lovesickness which I just finished was like 400 pages, but that's about ten different stories or so.

If you want something short, I recommend Gyo. Only two volumes from what I remember

I have some time on my hands now so I might read Cat Diary and No Longer Human when I'm not writing or practicing Python.
