How powerful is Karin?

if u look u can see that goku more out-manoeuvred karin more-so than out-speed him

karin kind-of stays a step a head everytime, but goku drives him into a corner & tickles him & he lets go of the water

goku also thought he could get stronger through training with karin, but karin says he's acquired power even greater than him

If anything I'd say the keyword here is acquired, not even. Could that imply Goku's power didn't surpass Karin the first time they met, after Goku's training? And that Goku only surpassed Karin after acquiring more power in between those events and the 22nd TB?

Definitely possible. But I see Goku gaining multiple times his power between RRA and the 22nd. To say that Karin is still multiple times stronger than Goku when he goes down seems weird when Goku did manage to catch him.

he didn't rly catch karin, he tickled him which obvsly led to him letting go of the water

i think it's possible that karin's power might jst have gotten retconed

I go with the significance of Karin pointing out Goku had become stronger than even him as an implication of Karin being close to Goku at that time, or at least closer than he was to post-Karin Goku. He also only said that Goku may have surpassed Roshi after his training with him, rather than comparing to himself, which may be another hint. As for Goku catching him, as SHC said, he outmanoeuvred him with the Zanzoken rather than outsped him, plus it could be that whilst Karin holds great Ki, his body isn't designed for combat.

For me the train Korin enough so he could beat Tao. If Karin Goku will train until the latter get over, Goku had taken a lot longer and probably Tao Pai Pai had killed Upa.

When Goku took the flask, his speed was just a tad below Korin's (the cat was sweating, worrying and all) and
Goku tickled him to close that tad. It is nowhere stated that Goku's friends trained with Korin; it is only stated
they climbed the tower. I have Korin slightly stronger than Goku post his training there.

Perhaps he used to be a much smaller feline than he is now, but faced Akkuman in a previous Tenkaichi Budokai and surrendered when he almost got blown up. Sadly, he got bloated and now barely has hind legs, decreasing his speed
