How powerful was the Genki Dama (Boo Saga) ?

Goku: “Hey! So it was the Genki-Dama you were thinking of!? It-it’s no use! Against Boo, no matter how much we gathered little bits of genki from all the Earthlings…”
Vegeta: “I told you, right? That those guys on Earth should take responsibility every now and then…! It won’t be just little bit. We’ll gather ki from them right up to their limits!”

Context: Vegeta instructs the Earthlings on how to help make the Genki-Dama
Vegeta: “Raise your hands to the sky! We’ll gather your power to defeat Boo! You’ll get very tired, but don’t worry! It will be like after you run as hard as you can! Well, go on! Raise your hands!”

Goku: “Everyone! Give me as much genki as you possibly can! Please!”

Needless to say, they all gave as much energy as they could.

It's known that Gohan contributed to that Genki Dama, although it's not enough according to both Vegeta and Goku.

Goku: “Oh! It’s here, it’s here! It’s already huge! This is Gohan and the others’ ki!”

Goku: “Hey, even this probably isn’t enough to wipe out Boo! What are they doing?! Hardly anyone but our friends is sending us ki!”

While it's true that the Genki is like 1/3 of the Ki, one has to keep in mind that everyone else besides Gohan contributed to this Genki Dama, and considering the sheer difference in terms of size between the incomplete Genki Dama and the completed one, they made a huge difference.

So...how powerful was the Genki Dama, exactly ? Both the incomplete (with nothing but Gohan and the others' genki) and the completed one.

You know, i find quite ironic that Goku says he's gonna collect the most he can from everyone but neither Gohan nor the kids donate everything. I mean, Gohan isn't winded like other earthlings, and the kids didn't even fuse/transform.

As for the OP, there's no way to tell. The incomplete is still weaker than Boo, and the complete is definitely far stronger than Pure Boo, but that's all we know. Btw, Genki isn't 1/3 of Ki. Genki, Shouki and Yuuki were only examples of the many components of Ki.

Well to be fair, neither was Kibitoshin, yet he couldn't teleport after giving his energy. I guess that's because of their superhuman constitution, allowing them to endure fatigue far better.

Yea agreed with GSM. I don't think you can simplify Genki as being exactly 1/3rd of ki when it has never been stated. It seems unlikely given your own example of Gohan's energy not being enough. As for how powerful, I'd say minimum 2x Pure Boo's power.

I don't believe the Genki Dama would've inherited all the Genki from it's users. After all, Genki is a key component in Ki and using up the entirety of their Genki would probably lead to death. It's not as though Toriyama bothers to calculate anything, given how little credence he gave to battle powers lining up with feats and statements of Part 1, not to mention the Genki of a few small lifeforms around Namek's system contributing more Genki against Freeza than the vastly populated Earth did against Vegeta shows the Genki-Dama's always as strong as the plot demands.

As far as it's actual strength, the Genki-Dama would be slightly below Pure Boo. As for the Chou Genki-Dama, could be anywhere you want given Boo was nothing to it. I tend to give Galu the 50x boost of Super Saiyan along with it just to add some reason to the several "Son Goku is the strongest" statements relating to this time.

Not that strong honestly. It's stated in the Japanese manga and anime that Vegeta was low on ki after revival despite his injuries healing, so one could just say Porunga can't restore SSJ2+ tier fighters unlike weaklings like post-GAINZ Pikkoyo from the Freeza arc and avoid that debacle about Gohan's Genki not making the Genkidama powerful enough to kill Boo.

I have always had the same thought. Goku SSJ (Genkidama) is the strongest hero of that moment (including Gohan Ultimate).
