Because strength is not power? Strongman is definitely way stronger than initial Krillin, but Krillin is beating him up.

They shouldn’t be. It’s good to be aware of them, but initial Goku is stronger than Roshi. I thought that whole Roshi stuff made it clear that strength is not ki power.

Goku wasn't stronger than Roshi. That boulder feat was on outlier. Goku and Chun traded hits evenly at the 21st so no way was Goku stronger than Roshi at that point.

Krillin is a lot stronger than Roshi. The feat is not an outlier. Being a great fighter has nothing to do with how strong your bench press is.

Wasn't that a talking octopus though? It's possible that animals who can talk are way above those who can't. Giran for example isn't above a triceratops or even close if we look at his species, but he could talk, so he had possibly the boost from human brain + beast power

Yes, dramatically so. The Pterodactyl isn't even a match for Bear Thief. Bulma saw the Pterodactyl get decimated and still was deathly afraid of the Bear Thief.

I don't think any of us would argue that the Bear Thief is getting mauled by the T-Rex, or Triceratops for that matter.


This is close to where we got to in scaling them. I ended up with Giran >~ T-Rex but it's debatable.

Is a T-Rex that strong though if kid Chi-Chi could chop his head with her blade helmet? I think when she threw it at Roshi thinking he was an enemy he was hurt, the turtle even needed to take the blade off his skull but after some seconds he was fine...
