How to resist Imu

To resist it you need to not fear death. You need to show the Will of D. Luffy showed it already, at Loguetown.
Or you need to be willing to sacrifice your life for another. Zoro showed it. Maybe Nami showed it (was sacrificing her life for the village).

Or you need to imagine his powers don't work on you, because DF powers are from children's imagination. This means if one person does it, like Luffy, lots of other characters will manage to believe it too.

Or you just have to be Nika. The kids were playing a game, and the rule was that the devil was strong as fuck and beat everyone, but the Sun guy could beat him.

What's insane about Imu's powers is that they seemingly have no range. He's in Mariejois and is able to not only keep track of what's going on in Elbaf, but can take control of anything without even being there personally. The counter will probably end up being something silly.

Why doesn't he just take control of Nami and have her jump off a cliff? Seriously, does something stop him from doing that? Could he control Zoro, Sanji, Luffy and Loki? He's also not controlled Gabban. Maybe he can't control these characters.

Does he only control those without an ambition or allegiance of their own? He fills the gap if they don't have their own strong sense of purpose. He didn't control Jinbei. Maybe because Jinbei has an allegiance to Luffy that stops Imu from controlling him. Loki has no allegiance, but he has his own strong ambition.
