How will Crocodile reappear in the story?

It's pretty heavily implied that he will hold some sort of role, given that he regained his drive to succeed, and reentered the New World with Das Bones. How can he be relevant in any way?

It seemed more like a temporary truce. Crocodile didn't want to see the government succeed, so he aided Luffy. Yet Luffy had no problem beating the fuck out of Crocodile when he went for WB.

I'm pretty sure Marineford Crocodile had CoA. His feats seem like it, unless no one used CoA vs him which is highly, highly unlikey
