How would you rewrite a series to make it better?

I'm sure there are many series that people either dislike or find decent that they'd find to become solid works if some changes were made to the execution. That said, what series would you offer a rewrite to?

To start off..

Tekkaman Blade
- First off, either cut off the character of Levin entirely or have him be killed by Tekkaman Dagger. He had no real role to play in the plot beyond being a poor comic relief. On the subject of characters, Millie would also be changed to a child with technologist potential and act more as an apprentice than a supporting character, as having a young girl operating at the command centre was quite immersion breaking.
- Tekkaman Dagger should've had far more of a role to play in the story than being a bump in the road for 2 episodes. Instead, have him be an active enemy against D-Boy from the first episode as we learn more about how he operates before he steals D-Boy's powers. D-Boy would also spend quite a few episodes without the Pegas in which he'd adapt more to fighting strategically against a far stronger physical foe with the help of the other Space Knights.
- Make it more apparent that D-Boy and Aki become romantically involved after Miyuki's death. At least have them kiss.
- Tekkaman Lance is easily the least explored of the evil Tekkamen. Have his backstory shown as someone from a prestigious family who often struggled living up to his expectations in order to show why he always touts his "superiority" to everyone. Also, have him deliver by being shown as the strongest of the Tekkamen under Shinya's command.
- As for the Tekkamen in general, have it changed so the Radam aren't just mind controlling them, but simply amplify thoughts they already have to a staggering degree. This would make their characters far less artificial in their motivations.
- Speaking of the antagonists and underwhelming motivations, Omega's role as Blade's father would play far more of an internal conflict beyond both, with the least that could be done to make that better is becoming a rehash of Luke and Vader in Return of the Jedi and the most that could be done being Omega's plans containing flaws that subconsciously allow Takaya to remain alive. However, he'd become resolved to kill Takaya during his final confrontation with Shinya. Also, given Shinya's far more expanded on history with Takaya, Omega would be defeated before Evil, with Blade VS Evil being the finale. Avoid the destruction of the Radam base from Omega's death as D-Boy surviving that in general was poor plot armouring.
- As for D-Boy's fate, the repercussions he was given were fairly good writing, though could still be better. After killing Shinya and destroying the Radam base with damages to his suit, also show that his lifespan was degraded so much he could only live a few more years together with Aki.

Dragonball Super (SPOILER ALERT, in case you intend to read my relevant fanfic)
-Change the story about why Beerus sealed Old Kai in the sword, making it more
consistent with what Old Kai said in Buu Saga.
-At the beginning of the story, Old Kai is the only one who knows who Beerus is. Everybody
and their mommas (King Kai, East Kai, Vegeta, Freeza) having known about him all
along in cannon was asspulled nonsense to me.
-SSJ3 Gotenks and Ultimate Gohan fare better than SSJ3 Goku against Beerus. SSJ2 Vegeta
is just a little stronger than SSJ3 Goku, because he's mastered SSJ2 form, but no asspulled
'My Bulma' boost.
-Shenron does not know Beerus and says he does not know what Super Saiyan God is. Beerus
gets mad and kills him.
-Goku becomes a Super Saiyan God by accidentally absorbing the spirit bomb that Beerus
threw back at him.
-Both SSJ God Goku and Beerus fight at 100%. Their powers are equal and Goku wins with
skill. Whiss comments that Beerus has got rusty because he's been slacking off for thousands
of years.
-Goku is about to kill Beerus when Whiss interfreres and cripples Goku with one hit. Then
he takes the injured Beerus and they return to their planet.
-While Goku is still unconscious, Gohan and Videl, assuming Goku will be okay, leave for
their honeymoon vacation for a tropical planet.
-When Goku regains consciousness, he realizes he has been rendered quadriplegic. He
can neither move nor use his chi in any way. Senzu beans cannot restore his shattered
into tiny pieces spine and it turns out that Earth dragonballs are permanently deactivated
after the cruel way in which Beerus killed Shenron.
-Eventually, Goku becomes bitter. In the meantime, on Haikashins planet, Beerus is training
to get back the power he has lost by slacking off.
-Bulma prepares a ship for the team to go to Namek and use the dragonballs there to heal
Goku. The crew consists of Bulma, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo and Goten. Back on Earth, having
seen what happened to Goku, Tenshinhan decides to kinda force Krillin and Yamcha into a
harder training regime. He takes them to the spirit room and teaches them the kaioken.
-When the Z fighters' spaceship arrives on Namek, it turns out Namek has been destroyed.
A while ago, Sorbet used Namek dragonballs to revive Freeza. When Freeza was about to
make the second wish and wish for immortality, Namek dragonballs were deactivated,
because, at the same time, Beerus was killing Shenron in a cruel way. Freeza, who could
not understand why the dragonballs were deactivated, got mad and destroyed Namek.
-Freeza arrives on Earth before the Z fighters crew. Buu is asleep at that time. Gohan has
not returned from his honeymoon vacation yet. Alas, the only fighters left to fight Freeza
and his elite henchmen (Tagoma, Shisami, Garana) are humans and androids. Freeza's gains
are way more reasonable than in canon and minor Z fighters get some time to shine.
-Every universe is a different timeline, as in Dragonball Multiverse; there is not a single
timeline with all universes. Beerus returns to Earth and forces Z fighters to participate
in the tournament he and Champa organized. The team consists of Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo,
Buu and Krillin. Yamcha comes as a spectator.
-During the tournament, a side love story between Yamcha and Vados takes place.
-Cabba and Caulifla were SSJs already and what Vegeta teaches them is SSJ2.
-Vegeta wins the tournament by unlocking SSJ Blue and beating Hit.
-Beerus is about to wish to the super dragonballs for the tastiest snack in omniverse, but
Vegeta speaks faster and wishes for Namek to be restored, dragonballs to be reactivated
and Goku to be healed. Beerus gets mad that his wish was stolen and is about to destroy
them all, but Zeno appears and prevents him. Zeno congratulates Vegeta for his victory,
asks him to be his friend and declares they'll organize a tournament between all universes
someday.
-Although he's healed, Goku is still bitter, having spent a few months as a quadriplegic.
Adult Trunks shows up. It turns out he's not the Trunks who fought Cell; he comes from
a future of this timeline. Adult Trunks tells them that Goku will soon become evil and
kill all Z fighters and he's the only survivor.
-Zamasu, a Kaioshin from Universe 10, shows up and tries to convince the bitter and
confused Goku to help him with his 'Zero Gods' plan. He knows a secret: If you kill all
Kaioshins and destroy the Kaiju tree of a universe, that universes Haikashin and Angel
die as well. Vegeta, who has been warned by Adult Trunks, kills Zamasu.
-After some inner conflicts, Goku regains his old, jolly self and unlocks SSJ Blue form.
Then he, Vegeta and Adult Trunks go to the latter's future, where they have to fight
Evil Future Goku (who is SSJ Pink, because he has an evil heart) and Future Zamasu.
In Adult Trunkses future, Zamasu convinced Goku to join his side. They killed all gods in
the timeline and they were about to go and repeat the process in other universes (aka
timelines), but it turned out that Gowasu's ring had lost its power, because its original
owner (Gowasu) is dead. So they needed Bulma's time machine to fulfill their purpose.
Trunks hid Bulma underground where she worked for 5 years to make the time machine
while Evil Goku/Zamasu were killing innocents on Earth. When the time machine was ready,
Adult Trunks used it to go to the past and fetch help.
-Adult Trunks fights Future Zamasu while Goku/Vegeta fight Evil Goku. Eventually, Trunks
gets wounded and is left for dead. Evil Goku and Zamasu fuse. Their fusion is called Zamarrot
in my fic.
-Vegeta/Goku try to fuse but fail. Zamarrot proposes that they settle this with a beam clash.
During the beam clash, Trunks, who managed to return despite being close to death, distracts
Zamarrot for a moment and Goku's/Vegeta's united blasts engulf Zamarrot and Trunks.
-Zamarrot is regenerated and reveals he's immortal, because Evil Goku and Zamasu wished
for immortality 5 years ago.
-Everything seems lost, but Zeno shows up and erases the timeline. Then he takes Goku
and Vegeta back to their universe.
-At TOP Saga, which I'm currently writing, the tournament is separated in two phases:
The preliminaries, a battle royale as in canon, except Zeno magically equalized everybody's
power levels for the fights to be interesting. The four fighters surviving the preliminaries
will be able to fight with their true power in the semi finals.
-Universe 7 team consists of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Roshi, Chaozu, Eighteen, Seventeen,
Yamcha, Invisible (Baba's warrior) and Cell, whom Goku revived.
-During the pre TOP filler, I wrote a love story between Goten and Cocoa. Goten is around 14
at this time and Cocoa is believed to be around 16 by some people, so it's not that weird.

 

[SSJ2]

The only one that comes to mind is Gantz. Anything after phase 2 would need to be abolished and completely rewritten. Even some of phase 2 felt really sloppy and even failed in the aspect of “dumb entertainment”. There are several missions that need to be completely rewritten or added to. There is honestly so much that it’s hard to narrow anything down.
