Which manga do you think is better? I think FMA is better.

I don't really like either manga.

Both animes are incredible but FMA:B is my favorite anime.

I agree. FMA is better at story telling imo. HxH is too slow with way too much text in the mang0

FMAB's anime doesn't generally annoy me barring the trash episodes in the first 1/5th of the show where they rushed like crazy while HxH regularly did with its overly upbeat music and the annoying opening that never changed, so probably that.

Manga-wise I'd give it to Hunter if it actually had decent artwork, but gotta give it to FMA also since while the art isn't that great it doesn't devolve into recycled panels and stick figures every 10 pages

Manga-wise, FMA automatically wins due to HxH's bottom tier art. Anime-wise, I'd probably give it to Hunter X Hunter. FMA had far more of a concise and focused plot than HxH did, though the Chimera Ant Arc was far more enjoyable than most of FMA for me, plus I preferred the character writing in this arc to that within FMA. Both are still some of the best of the Shonen demograph within whichever medium they're presented best.

FMA > HxH imo, but the gap really isn't great, especially thanks to the Chimera Ant arc.

If anything I'd say the gap isn't big because of the York Shin arc. IMO, York Shin was > Chimera Ants, even if slightly... maybe because I watched it in the 1999 anime, which was just great.

HxH's highest points are better than FMA, I enjoyed the phantom troupe and chimera ant arc more than anything in FMA. But the thing is, FMA in overall has a more consistent, and I might say, better quality than HxH. Like CC said, FMA had a more focused and concentrated plot than HxH.

I'd still go with HxH but it's very close.
