You will like that for sure, especially if you liked DragonBall Z, the first real life or death kind-of Saga in DragonBall. Although if you watch that, then there'll be straight-away spoilers from the previous Saga since the 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai leads straight into the Piccolo-Daimao Saga without any time-skip.

I've always wanted to watch the whole journey of Piccolo, so I figured this was a safe buy and everything I read fro. You guys makes it seem really fun. Is this the one where I'll see King Piccolo, Drum, Tambourine, et cetera? Plus after watching so much super I had a craving for some old school Dragon Ball. Not to worried about the spoilers. I get some of those just reading posts here. I just want to be spoiler-free from this point onward.

Sorry if my post was offensive.

Anyway, the King Piccolo arc is worth is or even the 22nd budokai as well but not sure with the 23rd one.

Yeah, that's the one. I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Also I just thought about it and I think Season 4 was the one with the Piccolo-Daimao Saga. The Season 3 has Kuririn on the cover right?! :eek:dawg :eek:dawg :eek:dawg

Nah I was just giving you shit. I honestly don't like watching stuff on the computer. It's a habit of being raised in the vhs days. :rumoosh

No I just checked. I ordered Season 4 with Piccolo-Daimao on the front. I mislabeled it as Season 3. :ladd I fixed it in the title now.

I do want to see the tournament after, if that's the one Goku finally wins.

The 23rd Tenkaichi-Budokai starts-off good and is good with good moments until the last fight which just seems to drag-on at times and also kind-of makes the kewl things you see before in the tournament lose a hit of something.

Is there a Tenkaichi-Budokai in season 4?

Kissanime's the only site with the subbed version, so unless you want to watch only the dub, buying it is the best option.

Anyway, as for the OP, the boxset starts at the semi-finals of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai and ends with the conclusion of Goku and Piccolo Daimao's battle at King Castle.
As for whether or not you will enjoy it, I'd say it's a mixed bag. I personally find the 22nd TB to be a lot of wasted potential due to aspects such as Tenshinhan's motives being very poor and the arc mainly just being a less interesting tournament than the 21st TB. The Piccolo Daimao has some of the best aspects of the series, such as seeing Goku get stomped harder than most of his other fights and keeping a genuine level of tension with important character deaths, removal of the Dragon Balls plot armour and a great final battle. If not for the worthy payoff of the slight hints that help foreshadow the Saiyan Arc's plot, I would've considered this a good place for the series to end. However, it also has some of the worst aspects of the franchise as well, such as one of the cheapest power ups in the series, Roshi outright telling Piccolo where he hid the Dragon Balls and Goku's battles with Piccolo Daimao seeming like a rehash of his fights with Taopaipai. However, I'd say the pros outweigh the cons enough for it to be a decent arc and one of the best in the series, especially anime-wise. This is one of the few instances in which filler actually improves the anime, since we get things such as Goku having to go through an actual trial for his power up rather than it just being handed to him, or Tenshithands not making the dumb mistake of bringing a cracked Denshi Jar to his fight with Daimao. It does feature perhaps the dumbest filler in the franchise in the part with Yamcha VS Tambourine, due to Bulma revealing to this obvious monster they're who he's looking for, as well as Tambourine not killing Yamcha to go find Goku when it'd only take a second. Still, I'd say the pros still outweigh the cons in terms of this arc's filler material.

Well like was said before it seems that Box 4 has the end of the 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai on that. :king :king :king

I'm hyped for you too. You know these cheap assholes at FUNimation used to include booklets with these but have stopped.

You're right. I just opened it and no booklet. :rumoosh

I was hoping since this was from Ebay that it might be an older one, but no, I unwrapped it to find it empty. And do you know the worst part is that they still have the little sleeve inside where the booklet use to go. They never bothered to remove that, but just stopped putting the sleeve in there. How lazy!!! :trump :trump :trump

Yeah, meng. It's pathetic. It's like FUNimation these days can't even be bothered.
