I think there shouldn't be so many destroying cards.

From the beginning of the game, there were tons of generic monster destruction spell cards (Fissure, Dark
Hole, Raigeki, Smashing Ground etc). You just play them and poof, the unbeatable monster is gone. The same
goes for generic spell/trap destruction spell cards (Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm etc). I think the game
would've been much better without such cards. Summoning a powerful monster or activating a continuous
spell/trap which shuts down the foe's play would really mean something and, just like in the show, you'd have
to find a strategy to combat your opponent's strategy. Only the trully skilled ones would get out of difficult
situations, instead of even the most dumb headed ones playing a mass destruction card and turning the tables.

You mean like right now? And Strategy wasn't seen in teh show until 5Ds, I would argue. Blocking destruction effects against powerfull monsters is easy, so is countering most destructions towards spell and traps cards. The only card I will amdit is a bit... Overpowered is Iron-Scrap Statue, to some extent, but is easy to deal with as well.

Why not? Plenty of monsters are immune to magic/traps cards: Tyrant Dragon, Silent Magician, Silent Swordsman, White Night Dragon. I think it makes the game easier, nothing is unbeatable in the game. If you have an insanely OP monster or cards that assure you victory there as to be someway of crippling it and getting rid of it.

Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning- What are the odds of being able to whip out a monster with 3000+ ATK. The card itself is already OP being able to remove 1 monster from the game per turn or attacking in a row.

Chaos Emperor Dragon Envoy of the End - Pay the small price of 1000 LP and send every card in both players hand to the graveyard and deal 300 Pts of damage to your opponent for everyone? That's a max of 6000 LP that's a game ender right there.

Exodia - Get all 5 Pieces in your hand, find someway of putting them in the graveyard to prevent an automatic win.

For every seemingly unbeatable cards or magic/trap card to support them there has to be a way to counter it.
