How strong do you think Gohan could have become if he dedicated himself to training after the Cell Games?

In all seriousness, it depends how hard he trained. His potential alone should have him remaining top dog, but by how much from Earthly training is questionable. If he were to become aware of his brother's talent early due to having a broader focus and sparred with him or simply met with Piccolo to train now and then, he'd probably at least be closing in on his post-Z Sword self.

In any case, GAINZhan would've oneshotted Dabura and slapped the Majin out of Vegeta like Toriyama's oversight Boo temporarily did and put an anticlimactic end to the arc.

It depends on how hard he trained. Either he could've maintaned his strength or perfected SSJ2, but I don't see him attaining SSJ3. Either way Dabra wouldn't be much of an issue like he was, and Gohan could potentially keep Fat Boo on his toes if not defeat him.

Gohan isn't the kind of person to take needless risks when he can prevent something (eg. attempting to destroy Boo's cocoon before he awoke) and his reasoning for fighting is far different than the other characters (something Piccolo spells out to Galu during the Cell Game), so I doubt he'd let this battle happen. Goku may want to fight Vegeta out of Saiyan pride, though I doubt Gohan would just sit back if he had the power to stop it.

Still weaker than fat buu, but probably stronger than majin vegeta unless spc was that fuckin strong.
