Is there really any reason to put Cyborg Tao over Old King Piccolo?

This is one of the questions I get when I see Tao so high. Is there any reason for it? The only thing he does is one-shot Chaozu (who I see quite a bit of people put at Old Piccolo's level for no reason as well) 23rd Chaozu has no feats or statements to get an accurate power level for and get trolled by Tien so badly that he's literally EXCORTING him out the ring and blocks his most powerful technique with just a kiai which judging by the Super Kamehameha's multiplier, likely has a power amp of 2x or more. Besides, Tao only expected to fight a stronger version of 22nd Goku/Tien who are leagues under Old Piccolo. I've heard some people say Yamcha and Krillin's concern with Tien fighting Tao but again Tien is many, many times stronger than he was at the 22nd aswell as Yamcha and Krillin having never saw Tao fight and were merely going off reputation.

There's so much room between 22nd Goku, Old King Piccolo, and Initial Young Piccolo that I find it almost completely unnecessary to have Tao above both Old Piccolo and Initial Young Piccolo.

IMO it goes:

Initial Young Piccolo >> Old Piccolo > Cyborg Tao > Chi-Chi > Yajirobe > Chaozu > 40% Old Piccolo >> Goku @Old Piccolo > 22nd Goku

Kuririn said something like Tenshinhan might be a bit too strong after he saw Tenshinhan one-shot Tao, that could imply that neither Yamcha or Kuririn could one-shot Tao like Tenshinhan did (stomp ye, but not 1-shot). It could also imply that they just thought that by seeing his movements, but I think it's a valid point.

While that is a good argument, I think it's just as likely that they were just looking at Ten's movements but I won't disregard that for now on when i'm looking through and working on perfecting my list.

Along with what SHC said, there's also Kuririn thinking Ten might need help when Taopaipai revealed his arm blade. They were also in awe at the Super Dodonpa before Tenshinhan nullified it, meaning if Tao wasn't on par with them before, he certainly was with that attack.

The gap between Initial and Full Power Prime Daimao is also implied to be fairly excessive, as is that between his initial Prime and FP Old power, and with Kuririn/Yamcha being heavily implied to be at bare minimum on par with FP Prime Daimao, I don't see why Taopaipai would end up below any version of Old Daimao.

Krillin thinking Tien might need help is again due to Tao's reputation. Ten was holding back a lot of his power during the fight as to not embarrass his former teacher so Krillin and Yamcha weren't aware about how strong Ten had really got. As for them showing awe about Tao's Super Dodonpa, well that's Tao's technique im talking about Tao himself.

Krillin and Yamcha are implied to still be a step or two behind Daimao. As they were astonished by Goku's speed against Ten although it wasn't any different than it was three years ago.
