Jiren at least doesn't act as a general middle finger to the world building and powerscaling of his series, at least no more than any other Super character. Meanwhile, Rey doesn't have a single discernible character trait beyond an identity quest that has and will go nowhere (beyond leeching off the Skywalker legacy) and her well honed powers without much more than a few days of training (that didn't help her when she was already OP enough) directly shits on the original 6 films. Also, she's set to stomp the one of the best and the most entertaining Star Wars character at the climax of Episode IX. Yet another reason to hate Ma-Rey Sue.

Also, Jiren's silence is at least a lot less distracting than Rey's constant open mouth in an attempt to emote.

Rey doesn't have a character. At least Jiren was supposed to be a Mary Sue and fulfilled that role to a degree. His only job was to be defeated. Also he got some kind of backstory, rushed as it was. The same can't be said for Rey. She's never lost. Never had to push herself. She's also the protagonist, which makes her all the more damaging to the brand by way of her unlikability.

You're a son of a bitch for making this thread. :ha
