Killua already admitted there was still a large gap between himself and Hisoka prior to his Nen training, so he gets stomped. Hisoka also has far more battle experience, not to mention Killua would mainly be on the defensive and the retreat against a strong opponent due to Illumi's needles.

Yeah, CC nailed it down pretty nicely imo. You could make a case about Killua admitting inferiority due to Hisoka's "nen pressure", which is possible to be felt even if Killua doesn't know nen. But I think that'd be reaching too much. Maybe if Killua can use nen and Hisoka can't...
