Krillin's Daizenshuu/Weekly Jump Battle Power

For anyone who follows the guidebooks (or even if you don't), how can Krillin's 1770 battle power from the Saiyan arc be rationalized? On Namek, Krillin and Gohan were said to be around 1500, and we never see any indication that they could go above that level. What do you think?

When is a number no longer around 1,500 to you? Piccolo and Gohan’s 1,300ish against Raditz were called “barely above 1,000” by Vegeta.

And honestly, could be argued either way about whether or not the boys had to all out on fodder soldiers. They knew to keep their PLs low to avoid being detected, so there’s a reason for them to hold back.

Because scouters display exact numbers. Vegeta didn't have to be exact regarding Gohan/Piccolo's battle powers because Raditz already told us their exact figures. It would have been redundant for Vegeta to state their exact levels again when they are so insignificant to himself.

I could maybe buy it if Gohan was 1300 and Krillin was 1700, so Zarbon averaged it out..

Also your last statement is blatantly contradicted by Krillin. He literally told Gohan to unleash his ki, there was nothing about unleashing it to a certain level to avoid being spotted.

Turns out you're right. It was actually after they saw Freeza and co. for the first time.

Yeah, it was likely weighted Kuririn. Besides, if 18k Vegeta thinks 1307 and 1330 are barely above 1000, I can see Zarbon, who's 23k, rounding 1770 or so to 1500.

As Animelover said, he was wearing weighted clothing which has a notable effect on one's battle power as seen during the fight with Raditz, so there's no contradiction to the Daizenshuu's entry of Kuririn's (or any of the humans during the Nappa fight) battle power.
