Empire Luke vs Kylo-Ren. Who wins?

Luke went toe to toe with Darth Vader and managed to wound him, Kylo got bested by a force user that was less than luke was at the beginning of ESB. Luke's incomplete training with Yoda seems far greater than Kylo's with Snoke.

Kylo seemed more adept at certain other areas, such as his freezing the blaster bolt mid air, and mind reading. I agree about some overall aspects regarding Luke, however.

Luke stomps Kylo from The Force Awakens. Kylo in The Last Jedi could be a different story.

Vader > ESB Luke > Kylo Ren (TFA)

Depends how the battle's fought. Luke is far better in terms of Lightsaber combat, but Kylo's force feats suggest he's far more skilled in the Force. If Luke can get within a metre's distance of him, he wins. If Kylo makes sure to keep his distance and rely fully on his force abilities, he gets the victory.
