Oh yeah, the original is terrible. The visual novel has 3 paths, and they tried to shoehorn all 3 in and the series made zero sense. And it's aged terribly on top of it.

Unlimited blade works was pretty damned awesome. I haven't finished it, but it's worth it just for the Berserker vs Saber and Archer fight in the cemetary.
