but thats what im saying cause it doesnt have them it hits harder, why would you use equivalent moves lol
sure in a pretend scenario feraligatr hits harder but in game, where flare blitz is used and outrage is 50/50 charizard x hits harder

A lot of people don't like the recoil of flare blitz or the locking in+confusion of outrage. So it's only fair to use equivalent moves. On top of that there's choice band to consider if we're not going to equalize everything.

i disagree with the flare blitz its charizards staple very few people dont use it and i agree with the outrage its 50/50
would feraligatr hit harder with choice band? its close i think not sure tbh

I'm gonna assume OP means which Pokemon hits hard in itself and not who can deal the most damage. In which case yeah, Charizard wins.

I doubt Mike even cares at this point lol

Perhaps I should've clarified. I was just wondering who could do more damage overall, not with equal power moves. Feraligatr would obviously be more effective when using equal power moves.

I was just wondering if Life Orb + Sheer Force covered the gap between Tough Claws and stronger moves.

it doesnt but with choice band it might, but Feraligatr isnt recommended to run band cause its slow

Nah I think Flareblitz covers the gap enough. Calc below...

sheer force + choice band = 1.3 * 1.5 * 105 = 204.75
tough claws + flare blitz advantage = 1.33 * 1.33 * 130 = 230
