Luke is post Return of the Jedi, and this is clone wars Mace. Both are at their prime. I see Luke walking away from this as the winner, as in the end, some of his force attunement would be higher than WIndu. If it got past swords, Luke pulls ahead.

Expanded Universe/Legends is welcome.

Luke didn't look very gifted with the Force, but his berserker lightsaber skill was tip top badassery.

Hmm, I always considered Luke's mind domination abilities to be rather exceptional. More so in the stories following RotJ, but he always seemed to have a knack for it imo. Mace was no slouch when it came to sabers either, so I didn't want to sell him short in that department.

If we use legends luke, he roflstomps. The dude has force powers far beyond anything the prequel era does even in the EU. Plus years of dueling experience.

Canon luke is probably stronger in the force, but there's no way his saber skills equal mace. Luke pretty much has no training in dueling other then a month or two plus his fights with vader, where windu has a lifetime of training.

So.....Grand Master Luke from the EU? He stomps Mace.

By in their prime, I'm assuming Grand Master Luke for EU? He stomps in that regard, since along with having more knowledge and power in the Force than any other Jedi/Sith and having reached his full potential, Word of God places him as undoubtedly the strongest Jedi to ever exist in the EU.

Canon-wise, I'd give it to Mace with extreme-diff. Along with his style being able to easily counter Luke's less refined and offense oriented combat, one of the knew novels implies that Vader would've won had he intended to kill Luke and not been surprised at Luke's rage, nor conflicted by his thoughts on his alignment with the Dark Side.
