For the reasons stated above, Mewtwo gets rek't with Game mechanics and stats in effect.

Anime/Manga-wise or Lore-based feats/scaling-wise is a completely different story, however.

Depends on their stats and movesets. Assuming items aren't being used, it's unlikely mewtwo can take out the venusaur before it powders it.
