Most Nerfed Cards in the series

Compared to their anime counterparts which cards were the most nerfed?

All of the Egyptian Gods were OP in the anime but were heavily nerfed (Except Slifer, he seemed the same as he was in the anime to me) but Obelisk and Ra especially were heavily weakened.

Crush Card doesn't seem like that big a threat in a real game.

Slifer got all of his immunity taken away, so he was nerfed pretty badly. Obelisk is more or less the same, just with a bit less immunity and a change to his special ability so you can't do 4000 damage and then still attack.

Ra got raped, plain and simple, undeniably – it's a fact. Everything that made it special, Konami took away. It's like they literally watched the anime and said, "You know all of that cool stuff Ra did? Let's not let it do that." It's atrocious what they did to it, and now they're trying to make it a little better with Sphere Mode. No! Just give us an errata'd Ra with an effect that's actually respectful to the anime, and there's no need for Sphere Mode!

Aside from those big hitters, Crush Card definitely got nerfed in the interest of fairness. It'd be so BS if you could knock out most of your opponents threatening monsters for the entire duel and there was almost nothing they could do about it. Well, at least that used to be threatening, but not nowadays when it's all about the Extra Deck and low-level monsters with a wall of effects.

Mirror Wall got slapped with a huge restriction (2,000 LP) when it came to fruition, whereas it was free of cost in the anime.

Ra is probably the most nerfed card in the game. In this anime it was stated to be the strongest God Card to a weak piece of shit

Grave Robber was nerfed. You have pay 2000 LP to use it in an actual game. I think Magic Cylinder was boosted opposed to it's anime counterpart.

I don't think Slifer was nerfed THAT badly. It still has the number of cards in your hand x 1000, the 2000 ATK take away to newly summoned monsters, graveyard effect, and immunity to card effects. Obelisk doesn't have to 4000 Pts of damage effect it had in the anime. We all can agree Ra was nerfed tremendously and Sphere Mode doesn't make up for it.

Mirror Wall also had to be nerfed to be fair.

Card of Sanctity was nerfed to the Max. In the anime I believe both players drew until they had 6 cards. In actuality, you have to banish all cards on your field and hand, and then draw two cards...

Yeah, that was one of the worst decisions from Konami. What a waste of a card.

Oh yeah Card of Sanctity definitely. If it really had the anime effect in the real game I'm sure everyone would have that card. It's a potential game ender or can at least shift the game in your favor or set you up for a comeback if you're backed into a corner.

It could've been either emergency banned or had the "cannot be used in a duel" text on the bottom corner.

Monster Reborn still isn't banned despite having zero cost for reviving a monster from either graveyard. Other cards that used to be utterly overpowered have gotten off ban lists as well. It's better an overpowered card come out and get banned for a few years than to release a card that is worth less than inert elephant sperm
