Muten Roshi (beginning of Z) vs Son Goku (22nd Budokai)

That's Muten Roshi from Raditz arrival, against the little Goku from the 22nd Budokai. Who wins?

In my opinion this would be about exactly the same fight as 22nd Roshi vs 22nd Goku. Roshi I have on the same level of Goku and Tien but a tiny bit weaker. After a super long fight Goku wins this.

Goku post 22nd Budokai was stomped by old Daimao using less than half of his power, yet Roshi's beginning of Z power level is above half of Tenshinhan's beginning of Z power level, who was already considerable above young Piccolo Daimao.

What? BOZ Roshi is 139 to Tenshinhan's 250. It's the other way around.

There's little reason to assume Roshi's battle power was anything more than a contradiction of Part 1 statements/gaps, as nothing outside of that implies Roshi trained or powered up at all after the 22nd TB until DBS. Goku wins pretty easily.

Where'd you get that from? Tien has a higher power level than Roshi at the Beginning of Z.

Lol I meant above half of Tenshinhan's power level (139 > 50% of 250).

By that logic Kuririn is over half of Piccolo's power as well in BoZ, suggesting he bridged a lot of the gap between them from the 23rd when Piccolo trained all the same. Toriyama just didn't factor in all power related statements from the earlier arcs imo.

You can't make the BoZ power levels work with all of the gaps in Part 1, so I wouldn't take them too seriously. Goku wins pretty easy, as it is never implied that Roshi trained.

Human voice, clearly had an axes. That help in battle against Raditz, someone who is far from half the power of Piccolo Daimaku Old?
