Buu initially doesn't believe Vegetto has surpassed him:
Buu gets the best out of him and initially give him the Kid Buu - SSJ2 Vegeta treatment:
Vegetto came out unaffected, but take into account that in similar instances such as Base Goku vs Frieza or Perfect Cell vs SSJ Gohan, characters with equals capabilities cannot affect each other (Vegetto is also not used to the body he is in):
Vegetto proved to be too fast for Buu to see him:
Base Vegetto and Buu traded blows between each other. Vegetto also shows having difficulties blocking hits from him:
Buu confirms that Vegetto is stronger than both Goku & Vegeta (as example when Buu tells Gohan that it seems Gotenks has only 30 minutes), which is reconfirmed by Vegetto/none of them were fighting seriously:
Kibitoshin is excited about how strong Vegetto is and he can fight him evenly, Old Kaioshin corrects him, Vegetto is apparently dominating him and pushing him back, but they cannot be certain about the outcome:
Even after pushing back that ball, Buu say that Vegetto cannot say he has surpassed him and Super Vegetto appears:
My final conclussion: None of them is superior to the other one. The ones that scripted those guides either are biased for Vegetto or doesn't analyze things properly.
