Seems like the 02 children, while having smaller roles than the original children probably, will actually be included in this instead of just being mentioned like in that garbage failure tri. Still don't expect this to be good tho.

i do. maybe not digimon-adventure level, but good at-least. i think this will at-least feel like digimon-adventure. THE producer & 1 of the writers from the original series are on this movie. adventure-tri. had a bunch of hacks who had no idea what digimon was working on it.

The director of 01 and 02 isn't on board on this though. Though yeah, the production team of tri was a bunch of idiots who didn't even understand why the Digidestined were chosen in the first place according to Japanese wikipedia lol. It seems like this movie will just ignore the events of tri which is good.

ye, i wish they had tried to have him on the project as-well, but the producer in ways is arguably even more important in anime. at-least we know that there are ppl working on the movie who understand the characters.

& ye i hope in the movie, adventure-tri. never existed

it seems a-lot of gr9 or well-known voice-actors/actresses are in this series. it's still kind-of sad that some (if not most) of the old actors/actresses were replaced.

They had no choice but to replace opening songs and some of the voice actors because Sora and Taichi's voice actresses died, and since Taichi is a little kid in the remake they couldn't hire his tri. actor anymore

The new show looks... weird. They already dished out Omegamon in episode 2, skipping all the in-between stages. Kind of like if SSJ4 Gogeta showed up in episode 2 of GT

I might watch the rest of the show sometime but as things stand, I'm not looking forward to it. Seems like they went and tried waaaaaaaaaay too hard to capture the appeal of Our War Game! and brought out the ultimate Digimon 40 episodes too early.

ye. i knew abt them sadly passing-away. taichi's voice-actress passed-away fairly recently. that was rly sad abt their deaths.

but looking at the cast, there were also yamato & izzy & joe & takeru & hikari who are still there, but i'm not sure toei asked.

even when wada kōji was still alive, they didn't seem to ask him back until like the second opening or something of digimon savers.

toei just seem like they can't be bothered.

i actually still haven't watched either episode & i don't think i remember seeing any of the movies either (aside of the 1st one, which i saw fairly recently).

I never even watched Savers. Frontier gave me cancer and I thought another Digimon series can't be the chemo I need.

But after tri. I can probably take just about anything. Go ahead, Digimon fandom! Make me watch Savers and Xros Wars, I might as well get the full cancer experience now that I've already experienced tri 2
