Here in America, developers, writers, directors and such are trying to flip existing properties to cater to women, as opposed to pleasing their current demographic of male audiences.

I think a woman can still write or be an editor for Shōnen magazine though. I mean there are manga like Full-Metal Alchemist, so I don't know why there can't be a female editor.

Nobody said there can't be. Everything in this world should come down to equality. Females should receive equal chance at getting the job, but if they are not as qualified for that specific position then they should go to the back of the bus.

I agree, but the wording came-out very wrong. Also why haven't there been female editors, despite there being male editors for Shōjo magazines? Or at-least that's for WSJ, I'm not sure about other Shōnen Magazines like WSM.

Even-though there not being any female editors in the history of WSJ, might have something to do with the thought of only mengs working and providing for the family thought-process, until now anyway since I heard it's changed since. Reason for there birth-rate in Japan. Career before family.

In the non-fictional manga series The Right Way to Make Jump! by Takeshi Sakurai, first published on Jump+ in 2014, Weekly Shonen Jump deputy editor in chief Sōichi Aida said that there were no female editors working at the magazine. He explained that "Jump's main target is boys about middle school age." When asked if he would hire female editors if he were editor in chief, he stated, "No, I'd make the department even more manly!"
Hire this man! :trump

It's a non-fictional series but with fictional characters or at-least dialouge not really said in real life, I think. -_-;

There have been. The website you listed said it's not without precedent for women to be editors. It just does not happen often. If these female editors being turned down were thought to be superior for this specific job then they would've been hired.

That's the main problem I have with this. Whilst I appreciate Shonen Jump's efforts not to pander to "muh representation", FMA's quality and financial success show that outright exclusion of female staff probably isn't the best idea if not wanting to be outdone by competitors. Merit should overall be the deciding factor as to whether or not someone gets an editorial position.

It also said this:

Editors at Weekly Shonen Jump have referred to the lack of female editors before. In a radio interview posted in October 2018 to celebrate the magazine's 50th anniversary, current deputy editor in chief Kōhei Ōnishi stated frankly that Weekly Shonen Jump has never had a single female editor in its entire history. He also described the workplace as like a "a boys-only high school."

I assume what he might have meant is in the history of Magazines, not WSJ (maybe even Shueisha in-general) specifically.
