Quick question. Looking to pick up a few spare dvds from the Ocean dub days. Just for nostalgia, and I kind of want to rewatch some of it, since that's the first dbz I watched.

Does anyone know if that was under the Pioneer label? I need to know before I buy.

Thanks man. I'm trying to pick out a few spare dvd singles, since the box set is hundreds of dollars.

Yeah. Funimation had license to dub the series as the production company. They hired Ocean -- a Vancouver dubbing company -- to dub it. Then, Pioneer was contracted to produce the DVDs. This is all before Funimation decided to take on everything by itself.

It was alright. Brian Drummond's Vegeta was cool. The butchered the episodes though with their censorship. Over 10 episodes worth of footage was removed in just a 65 episode span.
