Is to compare their overall, raw gains with the Saiyajins'... we generally don't have Goku and Vegeta undergoing more than a 2x increase in their base forms..
Realistically, should the Earthlings undergo more of a power up, with less resources? Maybe they didn't even increase it by 2x in comparison to their previous power

I tend to handwave that by assuming gains are closer to addition than multiplication. It fits better with the diminishing returns principle.

Or the earthlings simply had more room to grow.

More room for growth than Saiyans? Without gravity training, zenkais or masters training then? Kuririn himself had his hidden power unlocked… Not sure if he can even get stronger after Namek.

Because you're trying to assign rules to something that has never had such parameters in the manga. Goku had just abused Zenkais and had even become a Super Saiyan on top of that. It makes sense that his gains weren't so explosive.

Krillin's potential unlock is irrelevant. The fact that Gohan also had his potential unlocked but then became the strongest of the Z Senshi after < 1 year in the RoSaT shows that he could indeed become stronger after this. Why exclude Krillin?

90% of the gains within the manga make no sense at all. Piccolo went from ~2,000 to 300,000+ in 6 days on Kaio's planet. We can't form consistent rules when considering such has never existed in the manga.
