Name one thing that'd turn you off of DB back when you first saw it.

For me, the concept and visuals of ki and shit... If this was just some normal fighting anime, anime with magic as it's primary source, paranormal, mech, military, monsters, demons, aliens, etc... I don't think I'd be into it as much. DB has aliens and demons and shit, but the whole revolving concept of ki is what kept me going with it.

Something everyone is born with, something natural, something anyone can improve upon with proper training/martial arts... Something based loosely on real life ki arts from Japan and Asia in general. Not just shit only special people COULD attain. Exaggerated deeply for entertainment, but still somewhat real in a fantasy plane.

Story, plot progression, and character personality/development are important too, which Toriyama didn't deliver on all the time either (most authors don't 100% of the time), but good enough to keep us fans.

So what say you? What one thing would have turned you off of DB back when you first saw it?

And by DB, I mean everything.... DB/Z/GT/Super/etc...
