Which characters do you think people tend to overrate?

Lately, I'd say Goten and Trunks.

RoF Frieza also and by extension all the U6 members (Hit being the exception)

Beerus. I see no problem with him being weaker than 10x KK SSJB Goku or SSJB Vegetto. He never fights and it seems he
never will (i have watched up to ep77), so the plot can stay the same if we consider he's not de facto more powerful than
any enemy the heroes will face in the future sagas. It wouldn't surprise me if, by the end of the series, Whiss says to
Goku something like ''you surpassed both Beerus and me a long time ago, you just didn't realize it'' (like Baba Saga Goku
hadn't realized he had surpassed his master)

You seem to be mixing up "wanking" with "giving credit where it is due."

Right then, show me the kids actually beating someone equal to or stronger than Piccolo or maybe someone saying, 'the kids are stronger than Piccolo ermahgerd" then I'll rank the kids that high :V

Until then I'll keep them comparable to 18 where they belong.

Well I mean if you look at Piccolo being shocked by their powers then it's plain as day that they are stronger than Piccolo.

No "they're just kids" excuse either as Piccolo had seen them in action several times prior to that point.
