Is it just me or basically all the fillers from part 1, maybe apart from the Mutaito one, do fit up pretty well and actually enrich the series as a whole?

It made the 22nd Budokai more significant and tense, by severing more the ties between Goku and Tenshinhan, made the whole acquiring the God-water way more significant, with the way Goku got it in the manga being kinda cheap, Pilaf was introducced sooner in the 1st arc and therefore the conflict ending with him had higher meaning, etc.

Most of the Part 1 filler did indeed enhance the overall quality of the series by making some parts feel more meaningful such as Goku's gains in the training for the 22nd TB when we see what he went through or achieving the Choshinsui actually being a quest rather than Karin having it stashed away. The only fillers that I'd say detract from the plot somewhat are Tao Pai Pai climbing Karin tower (which, whilst I don't find it bad, does nothing but extend the plot), the time travel filler and the Wedding Dress mini-arc.

Idk what was filler but all the series seemed to be good quality, especially after the Pilaf saga. Maybe Muscle Tower dragged on a bit, although it was still good.

I even liked the DBZ fillers. Fake Namek was cool for bringing horror to the show.

Yeah the wedding dress arc and Tao Pai Pai climbing the tower are also ones I'd remove. Iirc Tao got even a slight boost over doing it lol. Maybe the wedding dress arc should be replaced by some causal scenes of Goku and Chi Chi adapting to the together life.

I liked the time travel arc except for the part Goku gets schooled by Mutaito. I liked seeing Roshi and Tsuru when young and the whole "moving the fire" helped enriching Goku's training with Popo. One thing I definitely liked is that Goku's progress seemed to be too gradual, too slow moving... to the point it made the audience (well, me at least) eager into seeing the Goku adopting all these teachings.

I wouldn't say the Wedding Dress filler should be removed entirely, since its adventure aspect and Journey to the West inspiration makes it a last hurrah to DB's eastern fantasy days before it fully transitioned into sci-fi action. I'd say some parts of it just needed amending, such as Galu forgetting about sensing his opponent's Ki or the huge ramifications that that furnace provides to the afterlife (especially when the afterlife had already been revealed in the manga).

I'd say the time travel filler's biggest problem aside from Mutaito beating Goku would be how it lines up with what we learn about it later on. Does it count as a timeline or is it just an illusion created by data? If the former, how is a God allowed to get away with this? Unfortunately, Toei decided to just hope the audience forgot by the time the Cell Arc rolled around rather than offering a throwaway line.

That's a good question, regarding the timeline. I'd imagine it'd be similar to Whis' ability of zapping through time -- it wouldn't create another timeline.
