Vegeta's conversation with Galu implies he was at least above the level the latter displayed to him on Namek and most likely above his full power as well, and Piccolo challenging Vegeta to a fight says a lot if we take Gohan's statement about Piccolo not fighting a battle he can't win as evidence. That said, I'd say Piccolo takes this with high or extreme-diff.

I'd say Piccolo could stomp at this point, though I don't have much to support it. I agree with Captain Cadaver's point here though I have Vegeta and Piccolo well over Goku's Namek level.

Piccolo loses after a supremely good fight. They're almost even, but Piccolo has a slight disadvantage in power.

I generally have them around the same power as well, although I wouldn't complain if someone choso to have Piccolo still way below such level.

May be nitpicking here, but i think Goku saying Piccolo's name before Vegeta's while guessing who killed Freeza implies Piccolo is the strongest on Earth by this point.

BS. How the hell would Goku even know how strong Piccolo is at that point? He was simply assuming it had to have been Piccolo or Vegeta since they were the two strongest back on Namek and thus would likely be now.

I also don't think Piccolo being mentioned first means much if anything. It 'might' mean something, but I find it too shaky and inconclusive to question their status quo.

Goku because of the KK. Without the KK, then it's a clear victory for Piccolo.
