So, in an extra scene from the anime, there's an instance in which Piccolo emerges from the Room and the anime showcases both Trunks and Vegeta's reactions to the new Piccolo:

We can see that Trunks was sweatting bullets and impressed with Piccolo's improvement, whereas Vegeta poke fun at it and even wondered what Piccolo was doing there. Whilst that can probably be chalcked up to Vegeta's arrogance, as Trunks, who's almost Vegeta's equal, didn't make light of Piccolo's gains, I find Vegeta's reaction when he enters in the Room to be somewhat intriguing... he only considers Goku as an enemy and only mentions him in the "I'll surpass you" comment. Sure that if Piccolo's power also did blow Vegeta's out of the wather he wouldn't also show annoyance at the Namek's improvement when he was all alone in the room? It's almost as if he pays no mind to him...
I tried to find the scene with the original JP dialogue, but couldn't find it. But thankfully the Funimation dialogue is rather faithful to the original one in this instance, barring a few non-relevant choice of words.
Granted, it's filler, so it isn't THAT important to some.
