We have Goku being impressed with Yajirobe and commenting he is the toughest person he has ever met, and yet this Yajirobe struggles initially with Cymbal, someone multifold weaker than Tambourine, who is in all likelihood weaker than 22nd Budokai Goku. Yajirobe wasn't way stronger until he decided to get serious and slice Cymbal. There's nothing telling us Yajirobe started taking Cymbal easier than he did Goku.

Yadjirobe stated he used Cymbal to get his morning exercise, whereas he had been mad to Goku for eating
his fish.

But then Goku was surprised by Yajirobe killing Cymbal, indicating Yajirobe didn't use his full power against him either.

Maybe the gap between Kurirn and Goku at the 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai was just that big.

So only Yajirobe's power fuck up all the powerscale of thr Arc?

Anyway, Goku couldn't sense Ki at time. He was surprised at how easily he killed someone related to Tambourine.

Like Saiyaman said, it's only the Yajirobe part, imo. Not all that. But man, this little issue isn't even comparable with Roshi > SSJ3 Gotenks or other issues. Akira Toriyama at least knew what he was doing and didn't completely throw the power scaling in a trash can.

@Fantastistche Hure - but the problem is that Goku had to be using a pretty high level against Yajirobe if he concluded this latter is the toughest person he ever met. Yet this Goku ought to be not way stronger than Cymbal based on how Yajirobe fared against him.

The 23 budokai has more trashed power scaling with Kami blocking Piccolo's punch and crippled Goku beating someone who could beat Kami and the humans.

I doubt you watched Super at all and Roshi wasn't said to be that strong. :punk

So power Goku used against Yajirobe > 22nd Tenkaichi-Budokai Goku, or is it?

That's what would work with Goku saying Yajirobe is tougher than Tenshinhan, Fantastische Hure. I don't see Tenshinhan taking damage from match level Goku, since even battle level Goku's initial beatdown couldn't damage him that much. Maybe we can say that since Yajirobe was just holding back in effort (since he had no control over his chi) his durability would be equivalent to that of his full power, like, him holding back in effort doesn't alter his overall durability? That can make sense, I guess.

Yeah, that's how I always saw it. I just see the Piccolo-Daimao arc, I guess expanding on the gap between Goku and Kuririn. We knew it was a huge gap, and that was shown even more in the Piccolo-Daimao arc.
