Hardly any plot events occur and don't have a concise plot, so they're little more than animated cutscenes. The only two things they have over the anime are better art (and pretty much rule 34 bait in the detail they put into the female characters ) and that it at least didn't get milked for ~1,000 episodes of the same shit.
