The team take this. Hit got trashed pretty badly by Jiren, whereas the teamwork of Goku and Vegeta was enough to keep pace with a slightly stronger Jiren to some extent. Even with Time Skip, Hit probably wouldn't have enough time or opportunity to gain and edge unless he's able to keep the pair separate, which is a pretty difficult task.
