Why should they burn? Pui was regarded as a weakling by Base Vegeta. The only reason Supreme Kai was scared shitless was because of his PTSD. Hell he underestimated the Saiyans multiple times. He was constantly shocked by how strong the Saiyans were so it's obvious he knows jack shit.

Serious though, even before Kaioshin started to freak out he was already aware of the fact Goku defeated Freeza, and even believed he would be no match for Goku in a fight. He clearly thinks Pocus is a foe on the level he can't beat alone, and after Vegeta kills him he doesn't change his mind about Pocus, but praizes Vegeta.

Well, Kaioshin couldn't sense Pui Pui, so he was going by Babidi's reputation of gathering strong warriors when fearing for Vegeta's safety.

The Kaioshin has PTSD. Its clear as day he's scared shitless of Babadi from his past experience. Kaioshin word is worthless because he was proven wrong about Pui being a threat at all. Base Vegeta considered Pui to be trash, and none of the Saiyans showed concern but Kaioshin. Dude is just overly cautious and afraid of Pui because of the fact that Babadi recruited him and that his ki can't be sense.

Even if you don't trust kaioshins reactions to pui pui, there's still piccolo's reaction to kaisohin before he knew he was a god. Pretty much every piece of evidence around kaioshin makes him relevant to the fighters at the tournament.

All of them but kuririn are stronger than namek goku.

Well, if Kaioshin couldn't sense Pui Pui, shouldn't that mean Kaioshin's concerns over him were based on the possibility of Babidi gathering someone strong? Ik this is old, but I wanted to raise this btw.
