Pure Boo > SSJ3 Goku?

According to Daizenshuu 2, Fat Boo and SSJ3 Goku are equals.

But according to Daizenshuu 7, Fat Boo is somewhat weaker than Pure Boo.

This seems to be alluded to in the manga, as Goku not only shits himself before Boo's planet buster but also prefers to make a plan rather than fighting Boo hand to hand.

Majin Boo is a general term, and Goku did fight evenly with both Boos he took on while using SSj3.

As Kenshi said, the SS3 guidebook extract doesn't specify a form of Boo, so I wouldn't say that means much.

Goku's statement is likely more to do with Pure Boo's unpredictability, which may not give him the chance to go SS3.

I'd say SS3 Goku > Pure Boo. Vegeta confirms Goku could wipe Boo out with a full power attack, and I doubt Goku could amplify his Ki further in SS3 when the point of the form is to bring the user's current limit of their Ki out fully, as confirmed by the SEG.

Even if Galu was stronger, he'd still have the stamina problem, making fighting him exclusively in SS3 a major problem, not to mention someone with Boo's potential and the possible desire to actually train with it would mean disaster for Goku if his power remained static (especially taking into account Fatty's Lean GAINZ in Super). Either way, Goku would still need to train for the fight to not be a repeat of before.

It's specifically refering to Fat Boo. The entry comes from Daizenshuu 2's "Adventure Story", that describes the story by each volume. The tidbit I posted specifically refers to the moment when SSJ3 debuted, so it's comparing SSJ3 Goku to Fat Boo as he was the only Majin Boo we've ever seen at time.

@CC but Goku actually turns SSJ3 in the blink of an eye when he goes fight Pure Boo. Fair point about the amp though. The Kamehameha is described by Yamcha as just drawing out latent energy and turning it into a beam, so the Super Kamehameha is probably just a variant that draws even more latent energy.

It doesn't contradict anything either way. Fat Boo and SSj3 Goku did fight evenly with each other. The former is just a bit weaker, as I have detailed in the past.

Fat Boo - 135,000

Goku - 150,000

Pure Boo - 150,000

Just for the sake of illustration.

The main point is that Boo became gentler and innocent. His power decrease isn't the focus.

It wouldn't matter with the Ki drain. If he were to power up into SS3 beforehand to prepare, he'd just waste the time he could maintain the form for.
