TPM Qui-Gon and RotS Obi-Wan
Intel: Normal (Obi-Wan has near full intel on Qui-Gon, whereas Jinn only knows Obi-Wan's capabilities from his days as Jinn's Padawan).
Fight takes place on Mustafar at the area Kenobi started his duel with Vader, the starting distance being the same.

It's most likely that Qui-Gon has the greater strength in the Force and lightsaber dueling, but can the strength of someone who fought evenly with Darth Maul now match his former student after becoming so skilled in Soresu he's considered the master of it?

Kenobi should win this. I won't say easily but I will say handily. We have Kenobi's performance against Maul in TCW to go on here, as TCW Maul>>TPM Maul. Qui Gon was able to hang with TPM Maul, but as stated in TPM novelization, he was battling fatigue towards the end of the battle, while Kenobi went toe to toe with a much more powerful version of this character.

As for swordsmanship, Qui Gon is stated to be a master at lightsaber combat, but I'll lean on something from the ROTS novelization, where Mace Windu commends Kenobi for being the greater of the two when it comes using a saber. Mace says this is because, while he mastered his own form of combat, Kenobi was able to master all of the rest.

I'd say it's debatable how far above his TPM self TCW Maul was in terms of strength and duelling proficiency , since we get no real comparison feats beyond Padawan Obi-Wan doing well against the latter due to his rage causing him to fight more aggressively; and even comparing that to how he fought TCW Maul under similar conditions, that version of Maul was a lot more strategic in how he fought.
I'd also say it's difficult to say Kenobi went toe to toe against Maul's strongest self. Regardless of Savage's involvement, Kenobi was at a clear disadvantage in all their battles in the Clone Wars. That, and lightsaber duelling isn't quite as simple a tiering system as A beat B and B beat C, therefore A > B > C. Kenobi's Soresu tailors itself well against aggressive fighting styles like those of Maul and Savage, but isn't as big a hard counter to some like Qui-Gon.

The canon status of the novelisations is up in the air right now, so I'd say it's best to discount them for now.

The novelizations are completely non cannon as it relates to Disney. I knowingly chose to use them anyway for the sake of discussion. I agree that lightsaber dueling isn't tiered however, and was more focusing on Maul's overall force ability rather than his battle skills.

I do have to dig into this a bit more since I am very much out of practice. I was responding off the top of my head.
