The true SSJ3. I feel like P made a topic breaking down his power not all that long ago, but I don't remember it for shit.

What are we seeing for this fight?


After his initial attack, Piccolo in Viz says Raditz showed no such power before. In the anime it's more or less the same.

Piccolo: "T-to think that the difference in our levels was this great!"

Same shit, Raditz is higher here than initially thought.

Raditz said he'll be increasing his attack strength from here out too, little by little. Both Goku and Piccolo manage to make Raditz block them seriously until he kicks them both away when they were behind him (with no momentum). His attacks didn't seem to phase Goku or Piccolo that much until he used ki. He took off Piccolo's arm with the blast and then got behind Goku and kicked him in the back. This attack seemed to do more to Goku than any of the prior ones, perhaps a power up here when he used ki/kicked Goku?

Whatever this level is is also well above Goku's 924 KHH by a great amount, as he caught the blast.

I don't see any levels beyond that. Only other event that happens is 1,307 Gohan gravely injuring him with a headbutt.

So 3 levels total? Initial when he stole Gohan/met Piccolo, when he took Goku/Piccolo's back at the start of the fight, and when he used ki.

Raditz can't modulate his strength, so his strength is always 1200. The only thing he does is to restrain the power of his hits, like a normal human being would do for example when playing with a kid.

For once I agree with Freezamite. Raditz didn't even know ki control existed, so there's no way he has it. Personally, I think Raditz was at full speed from the start and only increased his attack power. It makes sense with the idea that at the start, he was too fast to react to but his attacks didn't do much.

But Nappa's ki actually varied. He had his ki disrupted at first, which diminished his fighting capabilities at every level, and once he calmed down he could fight at full force.
What they didn't know is how to consciously vary their kis, but that doesn't mean their ki couldn't vary if affected by an external factor.
