After discovering his battles on godtube, my list would be.

1. Goku VS Pure Boo
2. Goku VS Cell
3. Goku VS Hit [I can't wait for Funimation to dub this fight.]
4. Goku Vs Majin Vegeta
5. SSjin Goku VS Frieza

I can't really make a top 5. Goku had so many good fights, but if I had to give a favorite battle, it would be Goku VS Freeza on Namek arc. Call it unoriginal choice, but if there's a fight in which Goku was at his peak in terms of epicness, it's definitely this one.

Freeza felt like an immortal or invincible opponent to everyone. The only reason the heroes were able to do as well as they did was because he was holding back a huge amount of his power. Goku was no exception. At first, no matter what Goku throws at his opponent, including a Kaioken Kamehameha x20 and a giant Genkidama, Freeza always had the upper hand.

Then comes the SSJ. Afterwards, Goku not only deals his opponent a physical beatdown, but also a verbal one. Even when they're evenly matched, there was no question that Goku would be the winner, as he had a psychological edge over his opponent, who wasn't used to fight opponent as strong as he was.

I honestly don't remember any other time during which Goku was that badass before or after that moment.
