The Genki Dama is more stable than the Revenge Death Ball.
The Genki Dama is hinted to have the potential to devastate a planet, whereas Baby's Death Ball is shown to destabilize as soon as it comes in contact with the ground. Thus, Vegeta-Baby would probably have to be in his Golden Oozaru form for it to destroy a planet.
