Saint Seiya is a comic, manga, comic or whatever you call it, is very famous worldwide and never understood why they put Seiya in Spanish, the translation of the title has nothing to do with the original name, but part I guess is the subject of religion in the West, so it could be confusing with a saint or something like that if you put San Seya. It's a good series but I'll stick with Dragon Ball for me is the best. Virtually was the series that came to revolutionize the market in the West and opened the doors of manga and anime series that many more would follow. This is a series that is to take themes of mythology, I think that's why is so successful because it combines many things that different cultures have seen in some time, as the case of the Greek gods for example. Remember that each knight or saint has to fight with the help of their inner strength and power that gives him the cosmos, besides their leader is a Greek goddess, a good mix and well done that in the end has been successful already all know.

The same thing the western did on Dragonball like Kami, King Kai who are basically gods but they change their name or altered it. But they can't just do it on the new series because the show is about Gods.

Not sure what this thread's about. Are you talking about the localised version of Saint Seiya removing deification connotations? If so, it didn't. Whilst it's original anime/manga was renamed Knights of the Zodiac, it still referred to Gods as Gods within all official translations, and even those older terminology changes of Saints to Knights have been abolished in recent years.
