Saiyan arc gap between Piccolo and Krillin

How big do you have this gap? Piccolo acts incredibly condescending towards Krillin when he first arrives saying he shows “slight improvement”, although I guess this is in character for Piccolo. However he seems to imply the gap between them is still fairly large, which I don’t think makes much sense given the suggested numbers.

It doesn't have to be much, because at power levels that low a few hundred is still a considerable gap. Everything presents Piccolo as being in a different league than the humans. They're reactions to him killing the cultivar speaks for itself.

It doesn't really need to be an absurdly large like 1.5-2x. I think 1.33 or even 1.25x is enough for them here.

Piccolo ought to still be far above Kuririn bar amplified attacks, given his Ki blast against Nappa did more than any of the humans' regular attacks, regardless of it being off-guard. What counts as a large gap, however, is completely arbitrary with how little Toriyama cared about gap consistency, given how KKx2 Goku and 18k Vegeta's ~1.1x gap is treat as a large one. Anywhere from as low as a 1.1x one to as high as a 1.4-1.5x one works fine.

I say the same as the rest, but I want to add that when Krillin arrived, he was suppressing his power at 1,083. Therefore there was a huge difference between Piccolo and Suppressed Krillin.

Don't you think Kuririn being 1.2-1.25x Yamcha would require a larger gap? It seems unlikely that Kuririn would be closer to Piccolo than he is to Yamcha.

Kuririn had far more impressive feats than Yamcha in this arc overall, so I wouldn't say it's impossible, even if I personally have Kuririn closer in power to Yamcha than Piccolo bar amplified attacks.
