-Dodoria hadn't seen Vegeta for a long time
-Vegeta said to Pocus he's got improved from ''battles''. The plurar may be referring to gains other than his Earth gains as well
-A PL like 19k-20k makes more sense, considering his performance against 16k Goku; not only was his victory assured, but he had the luxury
to toy as well, making the blast easy for Goku to dodge, yet Goku could still barely dodge it

I guess that could be, but then what's the point of Dodoria saying he was 18,000 before? Kind-of makes it pointless, other than maybe telling us how powerful Kiwi is.

The problem is he can't gain that much power since if King Vegeta is at least 10k+ and he already surpassed him at that time, then that mean it would take alot of years fror him to gain 2x than he was before.

All we know is Dodoria hadn't seen him for at least a yr. During that time, Vegeta was in suspended animation before arriving on Earth. I don't seen an issue with the 18k level. Since they were following him through their scouters, it's possible they could've seen his power.

Maybe like 18,005...or 18,024 or something small like that. I'm sure he could be something other than 18,000 right on that exact number. But probably not enough to be significant, due to reasons others have stated.

Pretty much, I've never understood people trying to make vegeta stronger than he is. Make him any stronger than what he's said to be, and goku's barely able to keep up at KK x 2 starts to make zero sense.

I like to think of Vegeta's 18,000 as one of the few stable numbers we actually have. Everything seems to line up very well with it before and after that time. Like I said before, I don't personally mind a few single digit bumps into the 18,000, but going to fare brings chaos into the nice order of things here. Changing it just forces me into shock and shame.
